Usb auto mounts upon connecting USB #35

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect usb wire to phone and PC
2. the usb mass storage mode is automatically activated
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
12.11.2012 release.

One more note the phone goes into mass storage automatically, but also the sd 
card can be accessed from the phone simultaneously. So sd card is not unmounted 
from phone.

I think you activated MTP function and not Mass Storage  in Mount settings

nope cannot change mount settings, they get resetted automatically after 
enabling them. Possibility is the mass storage mode doesnt work so the dev 
enabled mtp by default and disabled the changing of mount settings.

same here. I have had difficulty connecting to the internet with PC via USB 
because of this. Hopefully developers are working on it.
