i mean, it's possible we could lump it into orechid ignum
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
block of red dye -> netherrack?
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
the orechid ignum was kinda thought for solid -> liquid interactions though
Yea i wanted it for red dye to lava
but maybe red dye to lava and lava to netherrack
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
lava to netherrack in what flower though
the same one
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
ah, so you need to extract the lava quickly

i think bucket-wielding deployers might be too good for that
thats fine, those are interesting
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
it's just betsy 2
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
we already did the bucket thing
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
and there are logistical challenges to the pump method
i would use a pump
i think pump is easier
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
i would be too worried about waste, especially if the time was like. really short
we can balance the time
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
having to put a full 256rpm pump on at all times might be too expensive, so maybe you could have 4 which alternate?
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
keeping your stress cpacity static while having the benefit of 4 pumps
i think 64 is good
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
that's over 3 seconds
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
more than enough for any method to do it trivially
its just enough that you have to think about is. not all setups run 64 at all times
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
i wonder how feasible it is to move the pumps with a gantry
sounds cool but why would you want that?
i assume they dont work while moving
back to the question though
are there any drawbacks?
that im not seeing maybe?
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
i just think only bucketing the liquid makes some timing challenges a bit obselete, basically
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
just need to use the bucket every 3.2 seconds
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
and making something where you need to time with pumps could be pretty interesting
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
if it could somehow cycle between 2 fluids
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
i guess there's still fluid filters
dont see a way to force pumps and personally i do like the deployer method, i dont think its less interersting enough to think of a way to block it.
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
yeah, i guess i see your point
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
is there any use to fluid filters in the pack right now btw
either way. my question is about if removing clay has drawback, more than ways of removing clay and their drawbakck, as thats something to figure out only when its agreed taht its the direction
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
i can't think of anything bad with removing clay
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
as long as there is an earlier way to get it
some people use them but most if not all of the time there are better ways than filtering
autistic.sack.of.friends on Discord says
spoutputs, mainly
thats a good thing though
filters are simple to think about

the orange ingot from clay path is the least interesting path for orange by far
netherack can be made with nether wart or with healing potion. which is a little later than id like so need to think of a way to make it a little earlier maybe.
dirt has many ways to make it and the clay recipes can be easily altered to use other things without clay being missed.
