[Dungeon] [Suggestion] Ascended II – too crazy #2480

Simply said, Ascended II is just crazy. I will list points/thoughts from most important to least for why I think it should be revised.

  1. Bosses with huge add spawns (Sladran, Sjonir, HoL fire guy etc) are simply unkillable. Bosses have too much HP, Adds have too much HP, they keep spawning not tied to HP % of the boss or max number of adds spawned.
  2. It was mentioned 4K GS will be a ticket to Ascended II. I have seen people with 3.6k GS.
  3. If it was tested by developers as doable on 4K GS group, then it was wrong, tested in too ideal setup. Not every group has good setup ( you can have 3 melee, 4 warriors, one healer even) and some might underperform. Also having specific ilvl/GS does not mean the gear has quality. I know it all too well myself of scraping around especially on Ulduar when everyone wanted perfect compo for HMs +Asc or went normal and not even full clear (no middle ground whatsoever), that neither of my alts have more than two pieces of t8 and they have shitty gear even if the GS is 4.6 for example.
  4. Toc 25m N is easier than ascendeds
  5. Dungeons should be avaialble to everyone. If I want to play destro(bdk dps/BM hunt, I should be able to play it at least in dungeons, if not in raid. Dungeons, ascended or not, should still be a bit mroe chill and not as restrictive as raids are.
  6. I would not like to see the days when ascended goes only premade as 4.6k gs with mandatory shaman and either pala tank or pala heal because ppl want to have clean fast run, thus negating the chance for good gear to less geared players and less useful specs, all that combined with kicking ppl with 4.2 for too low gs right from the start (not based on meters, cause this community is indeed impatient, I think we can take this as a fact).
  7. How can Sjonir have 3.2M HP when Onyxia 10man has around 5M as a raid boss of next patch for 10man raid group which usually brings needed decent composition?
  8. Just simply lower it a bit, or redo Asc I in form of crystal in rhcs so ppl can transcend to Asc II more easily and more properly. Or better yet, do both of these. Just my suggestions and I mean no flame, but this is a bit ridiculous for randomly formed up party of solo qued players.

yep the ascended buff (at least in the viking dungeons) is 580%, pretty insane hp tuning considering the dmg increase buff isn't anywhere near that good to compensate for it. It doesn't even make anything harder, just a meatbag that takes forever to kill AND in some bosses I can see it making them undoable without a certain level of gear (which if you have you wont be doing dungeons anyway) Really doesn't make sense as these dungeons are supposed to be catchup grinds/farms, taking so long to clear a meatbag dungeon meh makes people not want to bother with them.

any asc2 dungeon i got in was easy

Not all are problematic. Bosses with overbuffed hp and adds are the issue. Also there is no problem if I get into group of 4.5k gs players. Porlbms begin when the que lets through players under 4k. And as I said you can have random composition that can't deal effectively with some mechanics especially on low gear. I haven't been to HoL but I heard that was realyl tiresome. I was HoS last boss with three different groups, never killed him. Sladran in Gundrak is a close call even with good gear, there is simply too many snakes and snake wraps and no kind of aoe can get them down fast enough. You just ogtta push boss and hope for the best. And there is probably more such issues but i havent been in all dungeons since we can't que specifically (which would be cool for the achievment collectors such as I)
