Holy fire and punicón #5610

Open Zaraelh opened 5 months ago

Zaraelh commented 5 months ago

Description: When you enter the second phase of the Warlord Zoon Ozz boss, the damage is increased. In this phase the spells punición and fuego sagrado are not benefiting from this increased damage. This same thing is happening in Deathwing Madness, where it has the benefit of healing and increased damage. Contrition is not increasing your Madness heals and Smite and Holy Fire are not increasing your damage.

How to reproduce: It occurs when you enter the black phase. It occurs in the cataclysmic phase at 25% of the boos, and with the benefits it already gives you upon entering combat, that is, it is not benefiting the priest with the aforementioned spells.

How it should work: With the increased damage on Zoon Ooz the smite and holy fire spells should hit harder. With the increased damage and healing in Deathwing Madness you should hit more smite and holy fire and additionally heal even more with contrition and increased healing.

@Sketish

Atonement healing actually should have a healing cap before modifiers. 30% of your health before modifiers. Exactly to prevent the abuse of mechanics like this

Priests The heal from Atonement is now capped at 30% of the priest's health before any modifiers such as healing percentage bonus effects/talents.

For this reason, first the constriction that will come out before the modifiers is calculated but it will not exceed 30% of the priest's health and then the modifiers such as the bonus talents or the effects that one has are increased, for a reason it says before any modifier and He then gives examples of modifiers, but Atonement is not benefiting from boss modifiers that increase damage and healing.

Post some logs. From what I remembered it worked fine on fights outside of DS. And it's weird that no top guild that's clearing DS HC weekly noticed this yet

I'll look for records on this. Of course they didn't realize because in other bands they don't have any modifiers only in tf and tfh in butler when a healer goes behind the boss's back to heal, but they never send a discipline priest, and if there is another band where there is some increase there was no problem because atonemet was also not limited in the official until that date of the patch where they limited it because it scaled normally and healed very little and the patch note was not a nerf but an improvement for atonemet and for the priest. Look in videos for references, but mostly these disci are tank and not raid, they don't use much atonemet. The raids that generally clean up on ds h weekly don't care about the disci just that it absorbs damage is enough for them, so I think that's why they didn't notice it. But the patch note in the link clearly says that atonemet has a 30% limit depending on the priest's health and then benefits from the modifiers.

here on the same page that happened to me on December 21 they fixed attonement and now it was working correctly with the modifiers correctly, that means that it also benefited from the damage and healing modifiers of some bosses that gave this benefit. https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/1232869/cataclysm-hotfixes-updated-jan-26
