Can you show us the error/log? Is the problem actually downloading the client? or installing it?
I am having a similar problem while trying to install the client itself, the small animation plays but there is an instant error message and log. I've attached it below. Error log.txt

Well, I guess it miraculously started working now. Stupid me forgot to try running as an Administrator, and now it installed just fine.
Hey @TrueBonnie. Your issue is most likely that you're trying to install the client while it's currently running on an older version. Check your tray and task manager - make sure there are no instances of GameJoltClient.exe

The client seems to still be running or some other process is using its files. Are you absolutely sure its closed?
Open up your windows explorer and go to %LOCALAPPDATA%
.
Do you see a GameJoltClient folder there (Not game-jolt-client, but GameJoltClient)? If so, try deleting it and running the setup again.
You dont have to run it with administrator privileges, by the way.
And yes, its compatible with Windows 10.

May I ask if it was indeed the client still running? Because we're going to push a fix for that - and probably use an installer that knows how to deal with these issues better.

I believe so, when i tried deleting GameJoltClient, it says it's still running

Awesome, thanks a bunch, it'll be fixed for everyone having this issue really soon! Tracking in another issue so gonna close this.
When i try to download the client for gamejolt it just gives me an error and a log.
