Incorrect spectral points for HESS J1718-385 from 2007A&A...472..489A #118

The spectral points for HESS J1718-385 from 2007A&A...472..489A are incorrect: https://github.com/gammapy/gamma-cat/blob/master/input/data/2007/2007A%2526A...472..489A/tev-000099-sed.ecsv

There is no HESS auxiliary data page, the origin of the points we have is unknown (possibly email correspondence by me years ago, or old HESS wiki pages).

The fact that they are a factor ~ 1.5 too high can be seen when comparing to the spectral model curve from gamma-cat (which I checked and parameters are correct): https://github.com/cdeil/gamma-cat-status/blob/master/sed_png/source_000099.png or by comparing to the spectral plot from the paper: https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full/2007/35/aa7280-07/aa7280-07.html Note how there the highest point is at (energy ~ 10 TeV, e2dnde ~ 2e-12 erg cm-2 s-1), but in the gamma-cat plot it's at ~ 3e-12 erg cm-2 s-1.

@kosack - I think you and Svenja were corresponding authors for that paper. Can you please look and see if you can still find the published points somewhere?

Just now I noticed that the other source from that paper, HESS J1809-193, we have the same issue of incorrect spectral points. See:

kosack commented 7 years ago

the points you are plotting don't seem to be correct (at least they look shifted wrt the publication). These are what they should look like:

j1718-both j1809-spec

It's likely that the points were just dumped in the wrong units or something

@kosack - Yes, the points we have are wrong. Can you still find the published points somewhere?

@kosack - Can you please search for the points you published for HESS J1718-385? Would be good to have them in gamma-cat, and for the HGPS cross-check.
