Pevatrons! Pevatrons? #18

@robertazanin - I've done a first check for the spectra by plotting them: https://github.com/gammasky/cta-dc/tree/master/sky_model_checks#spectra

One question I had was which sources are the PeVatrons in this sky model, i.e. which sources are brightest at the highest energies (say 30 TeV to 100 TeV).

It's sources from gamma-cat with spectral index ~ 2 and flux ~ 10% Crab at TeV energies. They aren't bright enough to be seen at very high energies by HESS, so really the spectrum isn't measured there (at least in most cases) and really we have no idea if those are PeVatrons, they are just not-well measured spectra.

See https://github.com/gammasky/cta-dc/blob/master/sky_model_checks/ctadc_skymodel_gps_sources_spectra_gamma-cat.png

Do people care about this aspect? Keep as-is or change something? Start a list of caveats for the GPS sky model in the README?

We discussed this a week or two ago and decided to keep as-is. So nothing to change here, this is just something that needs to be mentioned in the description of the Galactic sky model. Closing this issue now.
