We should not make the thing too complicated for the first Data Challenge. I would ignore the AGN population for the GPS for now. Even for the EGAL survey we have no AGN population model.

This seems to indicate that the EGAL sky model has no sources with |GLAT| < 10 deg? https://forge.in2p3.fr/projects/description-of-physics-models/wiki#Extragalactic-sources https://forge.in2p3.fr/projects/description-of-physics-models/wiki#Extragalactic-sources If that it true, shouldn’t we (or more likely the EGAL people) add an AGN source population to the GPS sky model for the GPS survey region?
Specifically: are there AGN from the EGAL sky model in the GPS region? Are we supposed to remove sources from gamma-cat outside some region? There’s these two TeV sources where it’s not clear if it’s a GAL or EGAL source: should we put MAGIC J0223+403 and HESS J1943+213 in or is it included in another part of the sky model?

@jknodlseder - Agreed.
I'm assuming it's OK to add MAGIC J0223+403 and HESS J1943+213 from gamma-cat to the GPS sky model unless I hear otherwise.
