The current layout algorithm conceives of the table boxes as a point in their top left corner. This means that their size is ignored and sometimes the boxes overlap, and frequently the layout doesn't look good. Also the animations are just wild.

[ ] Make it understand dimensions.
[ ] Reduce animation.
[ ] Perhaps make user draggable.
[ ] Use curves instead of straight lines.

Perhaps this paper or one of its references can be a good source for the algorithm.
