this is due to the package books in installer which are not compatible with
firmwares
higher than 1.1.2 when we deliver to installer the new version we will have them
udpated. In the meantime a fix is to copy the content of
/var/root/Media/EBooks in
/var/mobile/Media/EBooks. Then you can create a symlink from one to the other.

I was running 1.1.3 firmwave for a while now with no issues for the books app
i installed 1.4 vers of books this morn and suddenly it cant find any books at
all!
i tried to downgrade but now 1.37 wont find them either
i tried what was suggested above - to move the ebooks to the other locations
and
still get nothing showing up
i have also tried unistalling the books app and reinstalling it to no avail

We've started a Google group to handle tech support requests like this one.
We'll
definitely do everything we can to help, but having repeated requests for help
like
this clutter up the bug database and frequently go unseen as multiple comments
on old
issues aren't always noticed.
There's a link to the support group on the main page. The URL is:
http://groups.google.com/group/iphone-ebooks-support
