Alerts (eg. SMS, alarm) displays partially off-screen #127

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use eBook
2. Anything the prompts on screen, eg. alarm, alerts, SMS arrival

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Prior versions of Book has the alert (dark blue window) centered on screen,
with 2 buttons stating the options (eg. Close, View). However, the latest
version, and the prior release has the alert displayed at the top of the
screen with the top half of the alert out of the display. The button do
not respond to touch. The Book application is darken (which is normal) but
because the alert window is out of screen and do not respond, it cannot be
close, and hence nothing can be done either than holding the power button
down till the power off prompt is displayed. At that point, if cancel if
selected, the alert now displays normally centered on the screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Book version 1.4-r469 on 1.1.4.

Please provide any additional information below.
Also, it is interesting to note that the time is displayed off centered (to
the right of center) of the top status bar.

I haven't been able to reproduce this so long as file permissions on the
preferences
file are correct. Please check the wiki page Troubleshooting113.

Thanks. I have managed to correct this and it is now working normally. I
unlocked
the screen rotation, rotated the screen and then back again and relocked it.
Now the
alarms and alerts appear in the middle of the screen and can be interacted with.
