freezes upon first launch #141

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download any version of books.app from installer to a 16gb iPod touch
2. launch books.app
3. no 3rd step is needed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-on an older version of books.app that is no longer available through 
installer, when you 
launched the application, you would immediately see a list of the books in your 
library. Since the 
recent updates, if you launch the app all you get is a spinning cog in the 
bottom right that 
signifies something is loading but nothing will ever actually happen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
-books.app versions 1.4-r469; 2.0; 2.5
