this was a branch with SSIM identity loss for CUT that i used for the thesis, but decided to get rid of it, and merge some other style change i had done in the meantime. Added start_after options for val and checkpoint, went with that name coz better to have it uniform rather than val_after and checkpoint_after imo, validation and checkpointing are already present as names in self.conf.val.start_after so mentioning it again would be redundant
