Enable markdown extra #2681

I see Markdown Extra in the code, but there doesn't seem to be a way to enable it: https://michelf.ca/projects/php-markdown/extra/ (erusev/parsedown-extra)

It cannot be enabled as Gantry doesn't have it in the package.

Ah ok, can I request it as a feature request then?

Markdown extra isn't really maintained and has many issues, so I'd not like to add support for it. We do not use it in Grav either, even if it has support for it.

Looks like Markdown extra does work in Grav (as it's available there), but isn't enabled in other platforms.

Any plans to enable it in other platforms, or just keep it Grav only (and potentially remove it from Grav)?

Highly recommend installing the Shortcode Core and Shortcode UI plugins to get HTML into your markdown; as opposed to Markdown Extra which has lots of issues as mentioned

Edit: assuming you're using grav.. apologies if this was in reference to Joomla/WP

It was for Joomla/WP -- extra already works in Grav if it's configured to be on.
