[Bug] Hiding Component Output Breaks Joomla 4 Third-Party Extensions #3147

Gantry 5 is breaking multiple third-party extensions, such as RSForms!, and anything that requires displaying component output, such as the Multi-Factor Authentication on the front end.

The following response is from the developer of Akeeba, whose MFA was made part of the Joomla core. I need the code to enable component output to make my site work. Otherwise, I'm forced to abandon RocketTheme templates & Gantry.

For example:

  1. RSForm! previews do not work; only the home page is displayed. (index.php?option=com_rsform&view=rsform&formId=3)
  2. Multi-Factor Authentication using the six-digit code is a nightmare to get semi-working; you can't choose the redirect page after authentication, sending you back to the home page with a box at the top. If you delete the redirect, the password and authentication work properly, but it redirects the client to a useless profile page.

Considering that cybersecurity is top of mind in everything we do, we cannot publish a site we can't secure with MFA when dealing with multiple users (clients). The experience must be flawless, as anything less makes us look bad.

Please answer me if this will be fixed so I can decide what to do.

@J-Wick4 opening a new ticket won't help this get solved any faster or bring more attention to it since you already have an existing ticket open here https://github.com/gantry/gantry5/issues/3078. Unfortunately this isn't an issue of them not being capable of solving the issue, it is as @rhukster has said before in this post https://github.com/gantry/gantry5/issues/3100#issuecomment-1347018180, a staffing issue. I, like you, hope they get things sorted quickly.
