Can glue generate cross modality data？ #102

Hi,

I wonder know if GLUE can generate cross modality data, like you have a pre-trained model, and if you can generate scATAC-seq data using the scRNA-seq data?

Hi @GlancerZ, thanks for your interest in GLUE. The GLUE model can do cross modality prediction in principle, but we did not rigorously evaluate the performance in that regard. Empirically speaking, the output of the VAEs used in our model could be over-smoothing, so we do not really recommend doing so.
