This PR fails with master branch of GAP but that's the case without this PR as well - see e.g. https://travis-ci.org/gap-system/gap-docker-pkg-tests-master-staging/jobs/372723743. So I will merge it to make a new release for GAP 4.9, and then will look at the situation in the master branch.
