Drop check-manifest-entrypoint as it was added prior to using a central manifest (https://github.com/gardener/documentation/issues/431) and it assumed every repo maintainer would be responsible for maintaining their manifest. So it provided a safety check. Now that we have a central manifest and repo maintainers are not responsible to update their local manifest check-manifest-entrypoint is not needed
