We may be able to use an Open Game Licensed RPG for game mechanics. Search for 
OGL RPGs compatible with the MIT Licence and request their approval.

I'm not sure that it matters whether the OGL is "comaptible" with MIT, and it 
seems to be a question that's never come up before. With this in mind, 
http://basicfantasy.org/ may be a good idea. This is minor, and is something 
for the far future when more of the nuts and bolts code is written.
