Python2 dependencies (enhancement) #9

Hello. Debian 11 and 12 (using arm64 debian/armbian build) has dropped antique python2 and does not offer it as installation candidate. It would be great if your well done code could be updated for contemporary OS. Highly appreciate your initiative!

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I really appreciate it. The challenge I'm facing with this project is that it's difficult to maintain without the ability to automatically release new binaries via GitHub Actions. To compile the code, I require SSH access to specific hardware: armv6 and armv7 (Raspberry Pi 1 & 2), as well as Intel x32 and x64 computers. I used to have this infrastructure in place, but it's no longer available, and there's insufficient demand for me to invest time in re-establishing it. My open-source work on other projects reaches a larger audience.

I'd be more than happy to provide the API key for publishing releases and would also be willing to walk anyone through the intricacies of the project if they wish to take over.

Hey, I have both x86_64 , armv7l and aarch64 if it is required.

I know that it's not that much common now days, but still it is grate that you were able to hack that all together.
