Fresh install with existing Schedule Direct lineups selected #30

Gary: May have found a corner case in EPG123. Been using it for a few years now. Finally put WMC to rest about a year ago when I cut the cord and went to OTA/IPTV using Emby, but still use EPG123 for the XMLTV file (has worked great for Emby guide data!). Now building a new HTPC - finally getting off Win7 - and loaded EPG on the new machine. Started it up & logged into SD. The 4 lineups I have selected showed up, but all stations in the lineups were selected & grayed out - could not de-select any. Also could not save configuration. Copied over “customLineup.xml” & “epg123.cfg” from the old PC and then all worked fine. Seems if settings have not yet been configured, but you have lineups already selected in your SD account, it hoses. I'm up and running on the new machine, but thought you might want to know! ---Scott---

Not a corner case. This is by design. When starting a new configuration, EPG123 has no idea which lineups you want to download guide data from, from the lineups you are subscribed to with Schedules Direct. The user needs to intentionally enable (include) a lineup to download. This is in the installation instructions on the website and the program will give a prompt that "There are no INCLUDED lineups and/or no stations selected for download. Configuration will not be saved."

From the website (https://garyan2.github.io/step3.html?server=epg123&client=none), Step 9. include

Copying the configuration file from a previous install worked because it contained the lineup IDs you had included for download.

Ah, OK. I clicked on lineups before copying over the config file, and thought I checked to include them ... but can't remember now.
