After perusing the Internet, the 3M Premium White Matte Gaffers Tape is really expensive. Wouldn't any white gaffers tape do? After all, we only need to check white tape versus gray carpet, and the sensitivity can be the same for FRC competitions.

A good price-item match is: https://bit.ly/2GeHdh3 = 3M White Gaffers Tape, except it's half the width. Easy enough, just tape two lengths side by side.

For any old gaffers tape, we don't need to be limited by hardware stores. Many music companies sell white gaffers tape to cover wires on the ground, and the tape is cheaper.
