It'd be fantastic if the creator could implement the pattern Intentionally Fail During Install as described on https://www.dampfkraft.com/code/how-to-deprecate-a-pypi-package.html#intentionally-fail-during-install

Note that the pattern Intentionally Fail During Install requires a change to code AND a publish to PyPi
