No playback from audio files opened in NewPipe #214

Bug Description

Description

When opening an audio file from the Downloads section of NewPipe (I'm using v0.20.8), the Odyssey splash screen shows briefly, then the app closes. No audio playback. Not sure if this is Odyssey's fault or NewPipe's.

This is an issue with most audio players on android. You need either to open the file from the file browser of odyssey or use a media player that can read single files from a file picker like mpv or vanilla music player

I personally add the newpipe folder in antennapod and have it as if a podcast feed because untagged files are not convenient on odyssey.

2 years later, my phone is updated to Android 13, I can open audio from newpipe download tab and it will open in Odyssey just fine, like the way you asked.

If you could confirm as well? Maybe it works on 12 too, I don't remember exactly since when this quirk has been fixed.
