In the new design, the CTA button isn't effective at getting attention. Here's a great article I just read on the topic.
On mobile, we should get rid of some of the crowdedness on the homepage and put a CTA in a central location. On desktop, I think we qualify as an "F-pattern" site so the CTA where it is now is at the very edge of the pattern in the upper right.
I can get a graphics person on board to coordinate with so that we can get some more image assets to work with, but on desktop and tablet I envision a page like this with our current copy below.
