FYI - Adi's system has was designed to only send notifications about menus which were added late, that is, less than a week before the date. We discussed this years ago and we decided that if we sent a notice about every meal, it would become overwhelming noise.
From my user research interviews, we found that most people sign up for a week's worth of meals on the weekend. If a menu is entered after that, people are likely to miss it, so this email was supposed to be a shaming tactic to let people know that the head cook has been slacking off, and they're catching up now.
I propose that the subject line of these notices should be "notice of late menu entered: cheeseburgers" or something like that.

Sounds smart, I like it.

We would have to add an email preferences page before we did this so people could opt out.
