When I go to create a new reservation, I'm often surprised at the timeframe that it's currently displaying. I would have expected to see "today", or even "this week" as my default view. Instead, I'm currently seeing the week that I was last viewing the last time that I used the Reservations calendar, which was "Aug 20 – 26, 2023".
Many times I have come in trying to make a reservation, I hit the "next week" right arrow, find the day of the week and try to make a reservation, but then I realize that another event has the space for that room... but I recognize that the event happened a month ago. Why am I in the past?
Today I felt compelled to file an issue because a neighbor confirmed my feelings, from Tammy:
"Sometimes this might be an accident - when making a reservation in
Gather on your phone, it - very annoyingly - defaults to booking a
week ahead. I have to remember to double check it every time. I've had
times where I thought I made a reservation on Monday for Tuesday, but
it was actually the following Tuesday, and then there's a laundry room
clash. So this is a reminder to people to double check that you are
actually booking the day you intended to book!"
