What kind of swag would you love to see done up in Gatsby style?

Would really like to see a dark themed hoodie similar to the tee :) And thanks for all the existing swag :)

I'd like to see better trucker hats. The design of the current hat is cool, but the quality of the hat was really poor. I like the fit and quality of the hats from Marmot best.

The purple is cool, but I really don't wear purple...ever. What about black or grey?

Hey, I just love the Gatsby swag. 😍 I do not know any other open source project that has such an amazing swag store. (If there should be any, please tell me. 😉) Congrats to the team and all contributors. You are wonderful!

@joshsmith01 hey, can you say a little more about the trucker hats? Is the quality issue you mentioned with fit or with the hat falling apart?

I’m with you on not wearing much purple. 😅

For those asking for a hoodie, here's the proposed design. @oorestisime @lanaschuhmacher @techyontach what do y’all think?

@nero2009 I like the idea of a backpack. It probably won’t happen for a little while, but I definitely think it’s a possibility.

@lanaschuhmacher definitely looking into sweaters. 😎

oh, another idea: Larrrrrrge coffee mugs. I'd suggest starting at the 20oz size and moving up. 😜

@joshsmith01 We have the 16oz mug right now — I'm not sure we‘d go too much bigger than that because it starts to feel a bit like a novelty item at that point. 😅

@mattfazza do you have a photo or a link to the bottles you mean? (I ask because our coffee mug is actually sold as a “bottle”.)

  1. Sticky notes.
  2. Magnetic Badges.
  3. Magnetic phone holders.
  4. Baseball caps.
  5. Tote bags.
  6. Aqua notes and pens.
  7. Brouchers
  8. Keychains.
  9. Calendars.

@jlengstorf Ah no. More like buttons. Bigger in size with pins to latch 'em on to bags. (5cm radius min)

Try to open in incognito. I did that and was able to see the Black Hoodie.

Gatsbot plushie (or small 3D print via Shapeways would be more doable/automated)

Probably not going to happen as it's not as easy as outsourcing to have a product use a colour + logo..

Socks in solid black or purple with the logo on the sides near the top would be nice too. Umbrella (I don't need one atm, but a good quality umbrella with the logo would be a neat/useful offering) Mug (where the logo reveals based on temperature) Towel (purple towel, white logo in a corner, not too big 2x2"?)

Backpack as suggested earlier would be quite nice too(depending on the actual product), or similar bags (like those kind for laptops).

Other colours if possible (not sure if you have to bulk order or if some swag is produced on-demand via third-party), purple is nice... in moderation :)

Office supplies are always a go-to (pens, small notebooks, USB flash drives, etc) but the best swag has always been things that you don't know you want until you see it, like the sliding webcam covers or a USB hub that has an SD card slot.

I'd personally be interested in a Gatsby-themed deskpad (mouse pad large enough for keyboard and mouse), and I'm surprised there's no lanyards.

we can come up with 1.GatsbyJS cheat book 2.comics content
which can make the learning easier and this could also go on to hackathons and coding competitions this way we can encourage the developers to get basics of gatsby and and the same time they with their convinience can choose over their stack for the next project also some healthy protien and vitamin bars with gatsby sticker over them at the hackathons will add cherry to the pie

I don't think that's very smart. Reselling would require a whole legal process afaik

I was making a joke. You don't need an officially Gatsby branded USB stick, just a Gatsby sticker that you could apply to your own device personally. No legal issues from doing that.

@preeti13456 You can get them from the Gatsby store, or from contributing to the project which gives you some free swag + sticker pack.

But these stickers are for bigger things like laptop, they don't include a small sticker that would suit a USB stick. So perhaps what you want is for a little strip of Gatsby logo stickers.
