https://no.mouser.com/ProductDetail/STMicroelectronics/STEVAL-MKI207V1?qs=sGAEpiMZZMv0NwlthflBi7478FdgFQkX2MmP27KMcLs%3D (90 in stock)

Another alternative that works with the current driver: https://www.st.com/en/ecosystems/x-nucleo-iks02a1.html, but this board is much too big, so hopefully the first one works.

That looks good indeed :) . In addition / "otherwise" the one I got from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001496766461.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allProduct.8148356.2.10dd159aQSX5ZU seems legit I think, so may be a possibility to order a small bunch of these from there? :)

gauteh commented 2 years ago

Yes, I've been testing it as well, works as it should as far as I can see. I am mainly worried about unreliable shipping time.

jerabaul29 commented 2 years ago

Ok. I use to "just" have a bunch in stock home, wonder if it may be a good idea for you too, this way if not for the test this month you would at least have a bunch for the next time :) .

Looks like the eval board works very well, but:

Nice.

For my part, I will focus on buying the Alibaba sensors as they seem to work fine while waiting for more '100% sure genuine' Adafruit breakouts. Seems like the Alibaba sensor is in stock and they have a good bunch of these.

From schematic it looks like adafruit hooks VDD and VDDIO directly together. Alibaba version is probably high quality, the one I have tested with seems to work as it should. Different trade-offs.. :)
