Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Clicking on the chrome-to-phone extension in the chrome browser from any
webpage.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be assked to sign in to chrome-to-phone. Instead I see an alert
warning me not to go forward.

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number ? If
less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.
(irrelevant, happens on PC browser)

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

Please provide any additional information below.

I've found the same thing. When I sign in on my Mac (running Chrome) and
install the extension, I see this the first time I run it via the Google
Accounts page:

"The Chrome To Phone application on your computer is requesting access to your
Google Account for the product(s) listed below.

Chrome to Phone (chrometophone.appspot.com) - not affiliated with Google
If you grant access, you can revoke access at any time under 'My Account'. The
Chrome To Phone application will not have access to your password or any other
personal information from your Google Account. Learn more

The application that directed you here claims to be "Chrome To Phone". We are unable to verify this claim as the application runs on your computer, as opposed to a website. We recommend you deny access unless you trust the application."

Ahh... What? I've checked it out and everything seems to point to this being an
official extension. In the Android store it's official, on the Chrome Webstore
it's official (with video by Dave Burke who clearly works for Google (do a
search!) and the help page links though to a Google website.

So what is with this 'error'? Anyway, I'm satisfied that I can allow it and not
worry at this point. Seems all Googly on each end so I'll just run with it for
now. Please fix this though or make it clear what this message is actually
referring to!
