Planning a fork, do you want your copyright? #15

Hey, there are no copyright notices on the source code, and I don't see your
name. I'd be happy to add copyright notices for you, otherwise I'm going to put
notices reflecting my changes and of course preserve your license(s).

Can I add you as part of the project team? I've been extremely busy, but I have
some unchecked code (like fixing the findbugs deploy)..

Dear Anonymous M2Extensions Hacker,

Sure, if you like. It's hard for me to work on something in complete
IP limbo, however, and until you add

Copyright 2010 SOMEONE OR SOMETHING

to the source files, that's what the code is in.

I've got the core and the checkstyle plugin starting to work against
there 0.12 release, and building with maven/tycho.

Could I possibly talk you over to github, as well? Or are you really
attached to hg?

I think we need another domain name prefix; we're not part of the
official M2E project. My fork currently uses 'com.basistech' (which is
where I work) to avoid confusion.

My fork is at git@github.com:bimargulies/m2e-extensions.git.

Hey Benson,

Out of curiousity, why are you forking the code base? If you have patches
you'd like to have included, let me know.

Because you don't answer email very often, and because my reading of
the current state of the M2E core was that some fairly significant
changes need to be made to catch up to them. By all means, read my
forked version and pull it back under your umbrella if you like.

Hey Benson,

I've tried contacting you directly but I don't think my email is getting
through - could you get in contact with me so we can sync up?

I think I just saw email from you on the m2e list. How else have you tried to
reach me.

Sorry, I have been busy with reconfig. my WS. Do you still wish to fork? I
believe we have another committer now, I would like to at least get my changes
in w/ copyright notices, so we can at least start from there.
Once the changes are in, if you wish to be a committer/patch contribution that
will be awesome.
Still debating about moving to github though :)

I don't understand why so much of what I send you seems to disappear.

I forked over a month ago. Follow the link in comment 8 to see it. If you don't
like how I attributed to you in the copyright notices please tell me what you
want instead.
