What steps will reproduce the problem?
install it 
check the version in control panel - uninstall

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected:1.8 
actual:1.7.2

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
StExBar64-1.8.0.msi on win 7

I also noted, that the version number reported under Options differs from the 
release package version (1.8.1 shows up as 1.8.0.282). Would it be possible to 
keep these numbers synchronized? Thanks

This was a mistake when building the msi.
Should not happen anymore with newer version.
