I'm too dumb to find out how to make this type "enhancement"... or google
code's ui
thinks different than me...

There's an option in the settings dialog: "Copy UNC paths"
If activated, the "copy path" function first converts the path to UNC before
putting
it on the clipboard. That works for files as well as folders (at least for me).
Or do you mean that you've activated that option and it only works for files?

Hi Stefan,
sorry for the late answer, i have upgraded to 1.6 by now, but i still see the
reported issue (yes, I have activated the "Copy UNC paths" option) :
On a Folder the clipboard has (for example):
M:\Organisatorisches
On a File the clipboard has (a file in the example folder):
\\SERVERNAME\Management\Organisatorisches\Aufgabenliste_21.xls
Maybe that helps.
My system is a Windows XP SP3.
All the best, Nikolaus
PS: Another fine option would be to be able to URL-encode the copied path to be
able
to post it to an email and have it clickable on the recipients side (the
standard unc
path has to be copied into the explorer location bar manually):
\\SERVERNAME\Management\Business Plan\ElevatorSpeeches_02.doc
file://SERVERNAME\Management\Business%20Plan\ElevatorSpeeches_02.doc

To clarify:
this only happens if the folder is selected in the (left) tree view. If the
folder is
selected in the (right) list view, the correct UNC path is copied to the
clipboard.

I just switched to vista - so here comes another specification:
- in vista (64bit) the unc path is selected in the list view and the non-UNC
path in
the tree view
- in XP in both views the non-UNC path is selected.
