Fix pigment = 180 bug #8

Closed gawbul closed 11 years ago

gawbul commented 11 years ago

The program doesn't output values for pigment = 180 and there is almost complete equality between the last two for tapetal extent. Could be artefact or real? Need to debug and find out why.

Fixed with latest commit!

The code you mean? Do you want it as a PDF like before? It was PDF wasn't it?

magnus247 commented 11 years ago

PDF and, I know you hate it, word would be fab. I’m in the middle of writing a proposal or i’d just do it myself. # tryingnottogetdistrated

Where shall we submit the next paper then? J

Seriously, I can now progress the potential nature paper!

No problem, will send you PDF and Word copies of the code. More difficult to conserve the code syntax highlighting in Word, but will sort it and have it to you this evening.

What is the next paper to be? I love Methods in Ecology and Evolution, if it is a methods based paper, but I'm not fussed either way really. I'd prefer Open Access, but you're the boss ;)

Look forward to a potential Nature paper :)

There are 2-4 potentially.

1) Something based on the measurements I have of eyes from deepsea species (see thesis)

2) Something based on Nickys pontoniine shrimps (similar to above)

3) The Astacodes paper.

4) Could do one which is just a mathematical description of the eye.

Happy to go with open access but there are a couple of decent marine biology journals that I fancy targeting too.

Have not had time today to play with the model – will try this evening. Does it output Excel files now? Are you skypeable this evening?

Cheers, Magnus
