Why am I stopping the development of this plugin ?

Several elements were taken into account to lead me to make this decision:

• Lack of time. Developing a project takes a certain amount of time that it is not always possible to take. Family life, work and others mean that I no longer have the time to invest myself as I did a few months ago.

• The lack of means. This plugin is designed to adapt to several types of power plants which have different characteristics. To function correctly, I would need to have access to several central units in order to test the operation for each one and adapt the code accordingly. However, I only have access to 2 models of power plants, which limits my field of action.

• The waste of time caused by some users who report problems without taking action. We still come back to the lack of time because in this case, I cannot move forward without knowing if the modifications made fulfill their mission.

• Last but not least, the recent decision on the part of Risco to move to the Cloud by paying. As for many, I chose this system for its free connected application and, to have seen from the inside (I worked for many years for a reseller of the brand), I know that the Risco marketers pushed forward this free to praise the merits of their product. Today, we are told that you will have to pay to use a feature previously included, it's a bit like telling you after 3-4 years that from now on, to drive at night with your car, you will now have to pay to be able to light fires .... Another point, the installer account now has options regarding this pricing and we are being told about 'Basic Pack' which suggests that tomorrow, to be able to use certain features (video doubts? Home automation?), We will still have to get our hands dirty. in the wallet. So I decided not to subscribe to the paid RiscoCloud and I would therefore no longer be able to develop and use this plugin.

In the event that a little genius succeeds in communicating directly with the Risco hardware (in local TCP / IP and taking into account the paying Cloud, this should happen sooner or later ...), this plugin can be reborn in another form, while waiting , I leave it to those who wish to resume development and correct the problems that, due to lack of time, I could not solve.

Many thanks for the amazing work you did. The plugin quality is much higher than 95% of the Homebridge plugins. Is there anything that the community can do in order to get you back to maintain this?

your thanks and gratitude go straight to my heart. i tried to add my stone to the building in the best possible way but risco's decision revolts me and, unless we can soon communicate directly with the hardware, i will not resume development. And even in this case, it will be in the form of a new plugin because I will not consider mixing the 2 modes of communication.
