Problem w/ family list when first adding a new year #148

Created a new row for 2012 camp
after clicking save, the stats block (upper right) showed "0 families, 93 participants" but should have zeroed out both once a new year is created
on participants, it should have cleared out "current" column and moved everyone else to "past" but current column was still populated.
I think the family list was ok, but I forget for sure.

For the time being, I removed the 2012 year from prod in script/console.

now stats say "29 families, 0 participants", should say 29 families, 93 participants.
Participant.current returns empty list in script/console
Participant.find(:all, :joins => :years, :conditions => "years.id = #{Year.current.id}", :order => "lastname ASC, firstname ASC") returns 93 participants. Conditions copied from "current' named scope, so it should be the same, but it's not!

Restarted server, now the named scope works.
"29 families, 93 participants"

Why have to restart server for it to pick up new data? Class caching should be off in prod. Is something else going on?

Tried this on local version of code, it wasn't a problem. Tried on familycamp-demo.heroku.com and the problem still happened. Maybe it was fixed locally and not pushed to Heroku yet?

Now adding row for 2013.

Before adding row: 29 families, 93 participants
Manage > Years > Add New > filled in info > Save
had to log in again

OK shows 0 families, 0 participants OK moved all participants to "past participants"

Seems not to be a problem anymore
