1 year ago @gaynorr we are doing quite a bit of research using these concepts and will have lots of material written on this topic. I think we should join forces here to write this up. Should this be a R markdown vignette? I think this would be best for users so that they can try the calculations/simulations themselves.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. There is no documentation of how statistical genetic values are calculated in AlphaSimR.
Describe the solution you'd like A short vignette describing the implemented assumptions and the implementation would be very useful to the community, especially because much of the literature assumes Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, which often is not the case in breeding populations.
