Backport pr (#374) to humble #489

⬅️ Backward port

Ports feature from #374 to humble. The commit is retro-compatible. Note however that ros_gz_bridge/README.md is still using the ignition prefix. It should have been changed during #462, if you want, I can use this PR to also the readme.
