Cannot return to main keyboard while switching 'combine' char #6

when I press '&' for 1 sec, screen grey out and i cannot return to the main keyboard without select the '|' char

When I attempted the same thing, I used the green checkmark to go back to the keyboard without choosing the | character. Does this work for you?
