[FEATURE REQUEST] Final Exit Button #60

I'm frustrated when leaving the house because whilst an exit timer is great, I prefer to confirm everyone is out by pressing a small button I have hooked up near the front door.

I prefer to have a final exit button, this is a button at my front door which is used to confirm setting the alarm, you quite often see these in commercial alarm systems. I use this because quite often I will set the alarm, and then mess around getting the dog ready, or the other half will need to dart back in for something, so once we are all outside the button acts as confirmation to set the alarm.

To be clear the current automations work as follow:

I “set” the alarm using a fake switch in HomeKit Homekit kicks off the exit siren etc I get outside the door, close it, and then press the button The alarm is then “set” and usual away alarm rules apply

Any tips / ideas, even if it's pointing me in a direction to have a go at making it work myself would be appreciated.

How about an additional optional button on the UI which would appear once the alarm is in an 'arming' state ie the timer is running which you can instantly arm the alarm?

I'm thinking a button with a label 'Arm Now'?

I think that the best journey is similar to many commercial alarm systems I've used. Pressing "Away" triggers the away exit timer, there is an exit countdown but you can end this early by pressing a physical button on the front door.

I have a physical zigbee button already, so if there were a service I could call for the alarm system which skipped the remainder of the away exit timer and armed the system straight away that would probably work quite well!
