User Guide does not detail how to enter a transaction.

True pure chance, I discovered that somehow the select command in a completely different context creates a transaction.

Could not for the life of me understand how to do any of the transaction commands without this.

First things first, through is spelt through not true. But the user guide is organized such that select is before the commands which require it. But a valid complaint nonetheless.
