"No active document"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the program.
2. Wait for the "No active document" messagebox.
3. Kill the process via ctrl-alt-del

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Cannot open program fully. Program opens, but prevents usage by continually 
showing a message: "No active document". Clicking 'OK' simply brings up another 
messagebox with the same text.

Whenever possible, please attach the latest log file. It will
provide valuable information when trying to reproduce and locate the
problem. Log files can be found in the log directory under the main
application directory and are marked with date and time.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest download. Windows 7 (64 bit).

Right-click on the desktop icon and select "Troubleshoot compatibility" in the 
menu.
