Thanks! These are good and useful examples—anyone reading this is welcome to suggest additional examples that could be added to this list.
I think it would be good to have examples of the noise channel as well; here are a couple of my ideas:
Overlap of possible frequencies (e.g. $53 and $46 in NR43 result in the same frequency of 2730 Hz) can also be shown but it's not something that needs to be known.
The CH4 freq overlap cannot be illustrated with audio (it's the same thing), so that should rather be mentioned in the NR43 description, imo. (Open a PR?)
Audio examples for most elements of each sound channel would greatly help to understand what it actually does and put it in some hearable perspective, but also present how some parameters will act or feel differently depending on other parameters:
Example 1 Wave duty could be presented using notes C2, C4 and C6 in 1st available duty, then C2,C4,C6 in 2nd etc etc This way user can easily hear how each of them performs on various octaves, notice how 50% duty sounds full and bassy at C2, and how 12.5% duty sounds thin and squeaky, and how there isn't hearable difference between 2 other duties
Example 2 Sweep could be represented using few intensities and in each direction, repeating over sequence of 2 notes (C6,C3) This way user can easily notice how slide behaves on different octaves, usually slower on lower
