Duplicate entries in the backbone for plant species under author Mc Vaugh/McVaugh #130

A GBIF user has made GBIF helpdesk aware of an issue in the current GBIF taxonomic backbone for species authored by Mc Vaugh/McVaugh. It seems that the name appears with both spellings in various checklists and therefore is included twice in the backbone - as an example, see: https://www.gbif.org/species/search?q=Eugenia%20minuscula&qField=SCIENTIFIC

One is doubtful and the other is accepted, however. @mdoering - could this also be related to what you mentioned at the data use club practical session where both records with status' are kept? If so, what was the explanation?

The doubtful one apparently came from WCVP, but it has been removed since November.

It is surprising that both records entered the backbone. I will need to run some tests to see how that could have happened, odd.
