Discrepancy between GBIF taxonomy and POWO (Plectranthinae)
It appears as though GBIF is not correctly relating some species concepts in the subtribe Plectranthinae. For example, both Plectranthus laxiflorus and Equilabium laxiflorum are given as "accepted", even though POWO shows the former as a synonym of the latter. Similarly, Coleus madagascariensis is given as a synonym of P. madagascariensis whilst the opposite is the case according to POWO. I haven't been able to look into all the cases but some are correctly captured (e.g. Pycnostachys urticifolia is correctly given as a synonym of C. livingstonei)
I imagine this is likely related to a large taxonomic change associated with the following publication, which made significant changes to the taxonomy of this group: Paton, A.J., Mwanyambo, M. Govaerts, R.H.A., Smitha, K., Suddee, S., Phillipson, P.B., Wilson, T.C., Forster, P.I. & Culham, A. (2019).
