This needs to be addressed by the Catalogue of Life source ScaleNet which unfortunately hasnt been updated since 2004: https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/dataset/1026 https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/taxon/FMHF
@yroskov any chance to see an update soon?
@yroskov any chance to see an update soon?
A simple answer, not too soon.
After retirement of the ScaleNet main author Yair Ben-Dov, all attempts to get an update from new owners failed.
Geoff and I are planning to crawl data from the website. It is already in our plans for the CoL of 2024.
Thanks for your response. It appears the CoL is linked to the old ScaleNet website. The data from the old website (and updates) were migrated to a new address: https://scalenet.info/ The Apiomorpha ovicola page from the new ScaleNet: https://scalenet.info/catalogue/Apiomorpha%20ovicola/ Apiomorpha floralis : https://scalenet.info/catalogue/Apiomorpha%20floralis/ Apiomorpha glabra: https://scalenet.info/catalogue/Apiomorpha%20glabra/

Dear GBIF team, There are a number of nomenclature inaccuracies for several species of Apiomorpha. Since 2017, Apiomorpha floralis (Froggatt, 1898) has been an accepted name; it is no longer treated as a junior synonym of Apiomorpha ovicola (Schrader, 1863). Apiomorpha minor (Froggatt, 1893) is now a junior synonym of Apiomorpha ovicola (Schrader, 1863). Apiomorpha glabra (Tepper, 1893) is now considered a nomen dubium, and it is not a synonym of Apiomorpha ovicola (Schrader, 1863). Additionally, all images labelled as Apiomorpha floralis in the Apiomorpha ovicola gallery should be moved to Apiomorpha floralis (along with their associated occurrence record details). Several of the occurrence records for A. ovicola should be moved to A. floralis (Qld Museum specimen, specimen from BOLD: BOLD:ADU2081, five specimens in the Natural History Museum, the three specimens from the Waite Insect and Nematode Collection collected in the 1960s) and all the records for A. minor should be moved to A. ovicola. For a full details of the taxonomic changes see: https://doi.org/10.11646/zootaxa.4250.5.6 Thank you for your help and time.
Best regards, Dr Penelope Mills
