Correct name is Cobitis arenae (Lin, 1934)

The Chinese surname "Lin" appears to have been mistaken for an abbreviation of "Linnaeus", and erroneously expanded.

Eschmeyer's Catalog of Fishes gives the following as the original description.

Lin, S.-Y. 1934 (18 Apr.) Three new fresh-water fishes of Kwangtung Province. Lingnan Science Journal, Canton v. 13 (no. 2): 225-230.

Thanks for reporting! The reference entry (https://fishbase.mnhn.fr/summary/55000, Fishbase) appears to handle the author name correctly. The same applies to the 3 occurrence records linked to this taxon name, as for the representation in the Catalogue of Life (https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/taxon/5ZFZL). In Checklistbank the issue appears to be unique to the GBIF backbone taxonomy (https://www.checklistbank.org/nameusage/search?facet=datasetKey&facet=rank&facet=issue&facet=status&facet=nomStatus&facet=nameType&facet=field&facet=authorship&facet=authorshipYear&facet=extinct&facet=environment&facet=origin&limit=50&offset=0&q=Cobitis%20arenae&sortBy=taxonomic). @mdoering?
