Fusus neitoideaus (Lamarck, 1816) is not an accepted name and Coralliophila neritoidea (two authors) are synonyms of Coralliophila violacea Kiener, 1836

A GBIF user noticed a taxonomic issue for Coralliophila neritoidea (Mollusca) https://www.gbif.org/search?q=Coralliophila%20neritoidea%20. This is the description:

Coralliophila neritoidea appears two times, one authored by Gmelin, 1791 and the other by Lamarck, 1816. The first one figures as a synonym of Coralliophila violacea Kiener, 1836, while the second one does not (but it doesn't have any pictures despite its wide distribution range and the fact to be a common shell). After some more search on the subject, I find that it seems that attribution to Lamarck, 1816 is erroneous and the two are really the same species, and hence, a synonym of C. violacea Kiener, 1836.

Coralliophila neritoidea Gmelin, 1791 comes from CoL through MolluscaBase, but Coralliophila neritoidea Lamarck, 1816 is not in CoL although we say it is from MolluscaBase

Fusus neritoideus comes from the Paleobiology Database https://www.gbif.org/species/9758260 and is an unaccepted name generally attributed to Lamarck, 1816, but in fact a new combination of Murex neritoideus of Gmelin (from MolluscaBase)
