Hi @Barkworth, thanks for logging the feedback message. I can see that we use Pycnarrhena planiflora Miers ex Hook.f. & Thomson as accepted name: https://www.gbif.org/species/3830689. Could I ask you where you found Pycnarrhena pleniflora?

It is a bit more roundabout. I looked for Pycnarrhena planiflora because that is the accepted NAME in a GBIF download for Bangladesh. Then i looked for that name in POWO and could not find it but could find Pycnarrhena pleniflora. So I looked in IPNI to see if Pycnarrhena planiflora was there it is (Pycnarrhena planiflora | International Plant Names Index (ipni.org)https://ipni.org/n/581317-1) but it is the same publication and the note at the bottom says "use Pycnarrhena pleniflora". There is no explanation as to why pleniflora is prefered. Perhaps the query should go to CoL and IPNI editors to elaborate on? I have copied both on this email.

Thanks @Barkworth for the explanation, I can see that Pycnarrhena planiflora is from the Leipzig catalogue of vascular plants, I have contacted them.

The LCVP people replied:

Pycnarrhena planifolia Miers has been published as such, but indeed is an orthographical variant of Pycnarrhena plenifolia, so "plenifolia" is correct. I will make tha clearer in the next version of LCVP
