Orthops kalmii (Linnaeus, 1758) and Codophila varia (Fabricius, 1787) #517

According to the GBIF Backbone taxonomy, Codophila varia (Fabricius, 1787) (https://www.gbif.org/species/2078908) and Orthops kalmii (Linnaeus, 1758) (https://www.gbif.org/species/9660344) are synonyms.

However, the source for Codophila varia doesn't mention any synonymy relationship: https://www.gbif.org/species/116792748. In fact the two species look quite different. I don't know why they are synonyms in the GBIF Backbone.

The issue was originally reported by a user to the GBIF Helpdesk.

The xrelease has both species as independent names
